Alive or Dead
The story surfaced today of Bin Laden's possible demise. The story was first published in L'Est Republicain, which cited a French secret service memo reported to say Saudi Arabia was convinced Bin Laden had died of typhoid fever in Pakistan. Apparently, according to the memo, his demise was in August.
As usual, nobody can confirm or deny the report, but everybody is looking into it. Even the french guy.
I only put the note here today because I regularly check on the status of Bin Laden. Although I don't consider him "the devil" I do consider him to be somewhat of a scumbag. I cannot think of a level that would not make me feel good if he were truely dead other than a hesitant Christian belief I have that all people should be treated as I would want to be treated myself.
It would be rather fitting if his death was reduced to typhoid since the search for him has been reduced to nothing more than a war of waiting and watching, with only occasional bursts of information such as this or military activity. Later.
