Weekend in ND
I am getting ready for bed, but thought that I would let you know I am spending a short time in my old home town, Lisbon, ND.
I grew up here between the ages of 3 and 20 or so and have recently been buying picture postcards on Ebay of the town. There were so many interesting things in a small town (2200 people) 100 years ago. One of the things I intend to do is take a walk to the river and see if there is any evidence whatsoever of the flour mill that used to be run by water power as late as the 1920's.
I have a postcard and some arial evidence from Google Earth to support my "investigation" plus childhood memories of seeing the foundations and remains of the turbines.
Also, I will get to see my Mom. That's where I am now. Anyway, it's time for bed in North Dakota!!
